It was a very Merry Christmas

Baby boy being patient while mommy wraps a gift. Note the scissors within reach.

Sweet Pea enjoyed the goodies Santa left in his stocking.

hmmm. What is the fastest way to get the toys out??

Scooter had a blast opening up all his new toys. He did not understand that his baby brother was given gifts as well. After we opened presents Scooter rounded up the gifts he liked the best and crammed them into a large gift bag. This included most of Sweet Pea's new toys as well. He is still hauling that bag around the house and refuses to let anyone touch it. I guess when you are two it is your world and everyone else is just living in it :)

Ready for Christmas

Scooter is ready for Santa to come to our house. He keeps pointing to the tree and saying "underneath". He wants us to know where Santa is supposed to put all his presents.

A cake I made for a family dinner. I was going for a holly type look and it ended up looking more like ferns with holly berries. hmmm. At least it tasted yummy.

I feel bad sometimes because I have way more photos of the bebe these days than I do of Scooter. It is really hard to get him to stand still long enough to take his picture. He loves to pose for you then at the last second he will run off. The result is a blur with blonde hair. This one was about try #54

This was the money shot we used for our Christmas card this year

His future is soooo bright!

Tis the season for Pictures with Santa

After waiting in line for what felt like an eternity we were finally able to meet Santa. Sweet pea and Santa were like old pals. Scooter...not so much. I guess we should be happy that Scooter didn't want to sit on a strange man's lap. Never trust a man in faux fur!

Veteran's Day

Today I say Thank You to all of the men and women that fight for our freedom.
I especially thank my wonderful husband for all that he does for this country. You are our hero and we love you big guy!

Halloween Day

Halloween morning we baked cupcakes and let Scooter decorate them. The rules: there were no rules! We ended up with a plate of cupcakes that only a 2 year old would want to eat. Scooter made a huge mess but had tons of fun.
